Natural Wood Wrist Rest
If you purchased a natural wood wrist rest, please note the following characteristics inherent to the material:
- Possible features: Mineral streaks, unique wood grain, wood pores, natural color variation, knots, and fine cracks.
- Care instructions: Keep the surface dry. Wipe immediately with a dry cloth if exposed to water. Keep away from heat sources or air conditioners to prevent warping or cracking.
- Note: Each wood wrist rest has unique, naturally occurring patterns and colors. These features are unavoidable in genuine wood products.
Keyboard, Keycaps, or Acrylic Wrist Rest
Surface marks on new keyboards, keycaps, or acrylic wrist rests may result from condensation due to temperature changes during shipping or minor friction in packaging. These typically do not affect function and can often be cleaned.
Cleaning Methods:
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth dampened with 75% isopropyl alcohol to gently wipe the area. Alcohol dissolves water spots, oils, and residues and evaporates quickly without damaging the surface.
- For stubborn marks, gently rub with a clean eraser. This physical friction removes light scratches or oxidation marks on plastic surfaces. Be careful not to apply excessive force to avoid surface wear.
